What’s a good piece of advice you’ve received from a boss or colleague?
When I taught kindergarten, the school principal said to me, “Education is like customer service.” We spend a lot of time working with children, but we must also focus on welcoming parents and the community to our program and showing them they are valued.
What do like most about your current job?
I like that I am able to work with various site coordinators and visit multiple schools. This allows me to share ideas for fun activities and interesting techniques I see being implemented at one school with the others.
What’s the last enjoyable book you read?
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
What’s your favorite food?
Panzarotti, but my grandma’s recipe from Italy. When she makes them, we call them fritz.
If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?
The Maldives. I read about a glow in the dark beach on Vaadhoo Island that makes you feel like you’re swimming in a sea of stars. That sounds like somewhere I need to be.
What’s a unique talent you have?
I can twist my arm all the way around.
Is there a grade school teacher who impacted your life? Who and what did they do?
My 4th grade teacher, Miss Giordano. I was a shy child and she helped me find the confidence to come out of my shell.
